The new and improved Kickdynamic reporting!
We have been working hard to improve the way reporting is tracked and delivered in the Kickdynamic platform and we are pleased to announce that our new reporting capabilities are now live.
As part of this project, reporting has been completely overhauled. We hope that you find the new capabilities insightful.
A change you will notice immediately is the addition of ‘REAL TIME’ and ‘REPORTS’ in the Navigation area:
The ‘REAL TIME’ report replaces ‘DASHBOARD’. Here, you can see a LIVE global view of all impressions as they happen. As live images are served, the location of open pings on the world map in real time. (Create Video)
REPORTS replaces ‘ANALYTICS’, the old campaign report and analytics area. Here you can see an in-depth breakdown of impressions at a campaign and at an individual tag level. This page updates every minute.
You can search (via the magnifying glass) for your campaign mailing, Tag name or Tag ID to view a specific report. You can also apply a date selection filter.
There are three main views for the report:
Campaign level - Shows impressions for all mailings and Tags in the campaign
Mailing level - Shows impressions for specific mailings and Tags in the campaign
Tag level - Shows the impressions for the specific Tag.
The Tag Level Report is particularly insightful as it shows the actual live images shown for this tag and details the opens and clicks for each image. For example, if you use a Content Automation tag with positions, you will see the live image, the opens and the clicks for each image variant and position produced by the Tag.
Rule Builder Tags now show impressions and clicks for each image in the rule, updated live every minute:
Image optimisation now shows a live impression count while the optimisation is running and the winning image:
Detailed Functionality Overview
Date selection - Ability to filter global impressions by applying a date range. This is reflected in the ‘REPORTS' section.
Total impressions tile - Reflects the date range selected. Hover over the graph to show different impression counts by day. Other tiles show the breakdown of this total: Desktop, mobile and tablet. (Note: If the desktop, mobile and tablet number doesn’t add up to the total - this is because we haven’t been able to detect the device.)
Device classes - Shows the percentage breakdown by viewing device - similar to the top tiles, they are using the same colouring to represent device. This shows in accordance to the date range filter applied.
Map - Shows impression break down by country. Red dot represents all Gmail opens (Mountain View).
Operating System - Shows total impressions by operating system.
Email client - You can look here to check your data is consistent. You can use this to differentiate between Apple mail and Apple device.
When viewing a tag level report, the date selection will default to the date the tag was created to ‘today’. You can select the required date range using the date selection filters.
Important for old reports:
To improve our device detection capabilities and to move to real time reporting, we have completely overhauled the way that we track impressions.
Due to this, the new reports show data tracked from the 1st July 2017. For campaigns created before this date, clicking on the report icon will direct users to the old report listing total impressions.
To see the campaign/mailing/tag in the new report format (but with impressions from 1st July), Navigate to the ‘REPORT’ area in the main navigation and use the search functionality.
Tags created after 1st July go directly to the new report area.
